Q Can I take home the Study Materials?
A
Yes.

Q How far in advance do I have to enroll in a workshop?
A
Classes fill up fast. Registration stops when they’re full, so we encourage early registration. You can register as long as positions are available.

Q What level of knowledge do I need?
A
Absolutely none. You only need the interest and ambition. folks with very little knowledge do very well with great participation in the workshop. We do send you a survey beforehand to assess your needs.

Q What do I need to bring to the workshop?
A
Just your interest to learn. We provide class materials in a binder waiting for you when you get to the workshop.

Q Do you cover home distilling?
A
No. Since it is illegal to distill without a license we do not discuss this at all. This is NOT the workshop for home distillers.

Q I have specific interests and questions not specifically mentioned on the “Program” page. Can I get answers?
A
Yes. There are Questions and Answers opportunities provided. You will also have one-on-one access to trainers and break-out sessions are often scheduled based on interest.

Q Will I be able to run a distillery after the workshop?
A It really is a personal progress issue. We have had folks already running a distillery wanting to improve to those just thinking about it. We try to uncover what you know well and teach where you need more knowledge to help get you to your goal.

Q Can I take along a second person and save?
A
Yes. Currently a second person saves 40% on registration.

Q What is the workshop start time and ending time?
A
Regular daily schedule is 9am - 5pm. We start 8:30am on Monday and end at 2pm on Friday.

Q Who attends these workshops?
A
People from all walks of life and backgrounds, from all over the world.  People from the US, China, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Canada, Uganda have attended and folks from UK, South America, Central America, Cambodia are making plans to attend. networking among the attendees is one of the best benefits of the workshop.

Q Is there any follow up on the workshop?
A Yes. We have helped students with their business plan reviews and spreadsheets for free up to one year after the workshop. Consulting options are available after that.

Q What makes the Artisan Craft Distilling Institute workshops special and better?
A
Two main reasons. First, we do not represent any manufacturers. Our only product is the best possible comprehensive training.  Second, is that ACDI provides both classroom and hands-on training with additional emphasis on the business and marketing knowledge/skills you need to be successful.
